CondeNet announced yesterday the creation of Style.com, the first offspring of the union between magazine giants Conde Nast and Fairchild.
The fashion portal, Style.com, will be launch in June with content from both camps of Si Newhouse’s magazine empire. Vogue.com, already a hit since its launch last fall, will become available through Style.com, as will content from the likes of Women’s Wear Daily.
The Web site will be run by CondeNet. “It’s going to be run along the same lines as our other Web sites, such as Swoon and Epicurious” CondeNet’s director, Sarah Chubb, told The Post. “Separate from the magazines, but in consultation with their editors.”
Swoon aggregates content from GQ, Mademoiselle, Glamour and Details, while text-heavy Epicurious draws from Bon Appetit and Gourmet magazines. Joan Feeney, who launched CondeNet, will be Style.com’s director.
