A Brooklyn high school teacher was busted last night on charges of sexually abusing a teenage boy who was one of her former students, cops said.
Nicole Philbert, 29, was charged with four counts of sodomy and four counts of sexual abuse for engaging in oral sex four times with the 15-year-old over the past four months, police said.
Philbert, a global studies teacher at the Cobble Hill School, an alternative high school in the Cobble Hill section of Brooklyn, had been one of the boy’s teachers, cops said.
The sex acts occurred in her Brooklyn apartment, they said.
A Board of Education spokeswoman did not return calls seeking comment.
Philbert is the third Brooklyn school employee – and second woman teacher – to be arrested this month for taking part in sex acts involving underage boys.
On May 10, Nicole Matarese, 29, a teacher at Canarsie High School, was charged with statutory rape for having sex over a five-month period with a 15-year-old boy at her Staten Island home.
On May 11, Kelly Velez, 29, a school custodian, was charged with sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a minor for allegedly sexually abusing an 8-year-old boy at PS 127, Dyker Heights.
