WASHINGTON – President Clinton yesterday signed a law naming the federal courthouse in Manhattan after Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan, who’s retiring after 24 years.
“I couldn’t be happier,” Moynihan (D-N.Y.) said after the bill-signing at the White House.
Moynihan, whose seat is being sought by Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton and Republican Rick Lazio, nixed an earlier attempt to rename Penn Station after him.
