MATERIAL GIRL BUYING A HOME NEAR HARRODS

Madonna is expanding her real-estate empire once again – plunking down $16 million to buy House No. 6 in London.

The pregnant pop goddess’ new home is a stunning four-story, six-bedroom townhouse – with a heated pool – in the heart of the exclusive Belgravia area.

It has a connecting mews house and is near all of Madonna’s favorite Knightsbridge shops, including Harrods.

And she’s converting one of the rooms into a nursery for her second child, a baby the stork is expected to deliver in September.

Madonna will share the house with her 3-year-old daughter, Lourdes, and boyfriend Guy Ritchie, director of “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels,” who also owns a house nearby.

On the ground floor is a wood-paneled library, a vast hallway and a dining room with a stained-glass dome.

Another area contains a fully equipped gym and a large kitchen. In the basement, there’s a second kitchen and a beautiful oval pool.

A spacious drawing room on the first floor opens onto a roof terrace with a small garden.

The master bedroom on the second floor has a paneled bathroom with a huge sunken bath. On the upper floors are more bedrooms, ideal for guests and a live-in nanny.

Last month, Madonna purchased a fifth luxury home in Beverly Hills, shelling out $6 million for a Spanish-style villa built in 1927.

She already owns another home in California, as well as a posh Central Park West apartment, a waterfront mansion in Miami and a home in the Chelsea section of London.

But she’s in the process of selling the Miami and Chelsea properties.

As Madonna, 41, sealed her latest acquisition, Ritchie, 31, escaped with a slap on the wrist after admitting he assaulted a fan outside the singer’s rented home in Kensington.

Ritchie was cautioned for common assault, a relatively minor charge, a Scotland Yard spokesman said.

The filmmaker was arrested May 17 after Jonathon Sanders claimed he was assaulted.

Ritchie insisted Sanders was an obsessed fan who’d stalked Madonna for weeks, lurked outside her home and tried to force open her car door.

“Guy pushed the guy. His girlfriend is five months pregnant, after all,” said Ritchie’s spokesman, Kris Thykier.

Sanders denied he was a stalker but admitted he loved snapping photos of the singer.
