WILLS KEEPS HIS LADIES IN WAITING : ROYAL HUNK COOLS DOWN HOT BABES

Prince William has revealed he has top-secret tactics for fending off the armies of wide-eyed young girls who are dying to bed him.

But his James Bond-like methods are so foolproof, the future king of England refuses to divulge anything about them.

William, who turns 18 next week, confessed that when a girl comes on to him, he deals with the situation “in my own way.” And that’s as much as he’ll say.

“Trying to explain might be counter-productive,” the hunky blonde-haired royal said.

Since his mom, Princess Diana, perished in a car crash three years ago, William has quickly emerged as the new media darling of Buckingham Palace.

But Wills – as he’s affectionately called by the throngs of gushing teenybopper fans who adore him – confesses he really hates all the endless attention.

And he’s so private, he won’t even say if he’s got a girlfriend.

“I like to keep my private life private,” Wills said.

Earlier this year, the heartthrob prince was linked with pop star Britney Spears – and several news reports had them frantically e-mailing each other and enjoying a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner.

Wills insisted those reports were all wet.

“There’s been a lot of nonsense put about by PR companies. I don’t like being exploited in this way, but as I get older, it is going to be increasingly hard to prevent,” he told Britain’s Press Association.

“I don’t like the attention. I feel uncomfortable with it.”

But he said he’s gratified by the press decision to leave him and his brother, Prince Harry, 15, alone at Eton, the posh private school they attend.

The teen – who’s being groomed to one day replace his dad, Prince Charles – said it was far too early to say what career plans he had beyond college.

“At this stage, I just want to get through university,” said Wills, who turns 18 on Wednesday.

And just what does the young heir like to do in his spare time?

“I enjoy water polo, football and rugby. I enjoy being with my friends, going to the cinema and watching football and rugby matches,” he said.

He’s a big fan of dance and pop music but revealed, “I don’t go clubbing that often.”

The prince also says he makes a pretty mean chicken paella – even though he’s a bit of a sloppy cook.
