A gasoline truck crashed through the floor of a Queens garage while making a delivery yesterday, crushing 20 cars and spilling thousands of gallons of the fuel, officials said.
The bizarre accident occurred about 9:20 a.m. while the truck was delivering gas to a Dollar Rent A Car office in a garage near La Guardia Airport.
Suddenly, a section of the floor collapsed, sending the truck crashing to the basement floor below.
Twenty cars were crushed and most of the 5,000 gallons of gasoline spilled.
There were no injuries.
Officials are checking whether the truck was too heavy for the garage at 22-61 94th St. or whether there was a structural problem with the floor.
