ALBANY – Gov. Pataki, who likes to summer in the Hamptons, has quietly started visiting Hamptons-based “Yogi to the Stars.”
“Oh boy, I love George so much,” celebrity yoga instructor Camille Petrillo, 42, of Bridgehampton, told The Post yesterday as she described a three-year therapeutic and instructional relationship with Pataki, 56.
Pataki spokesman Michael McKeon admitted the governor occasionally has gotten the Petrillo treatment.
McKeon said his boss gets massages “when he’s on vacation, a couple of times a year. Does that make him a regular?”
“During one ‘yogassage’ session at the beach, George stretched with his legs over his head and said to his friends, ‘Look at me, look at me,'” Petrillo recalled, drawing an unusual picture of the 6-foot-5 governor.
Petrillo said yogassage combines yoga and intensive massage. Her sessions cost $250 each and last at least two hours.
“George is very conscious in his yoga practice. He understands it, even though he’s really not doing anything and I’m doing most of the work,” said Petrillo, who has had “about 20” sessions with Pataki and one with his wife, Elizabeth.
Petrillo said she was introduced to Pataki in the Hamptons a few years ago by former U.S. Sen. Alfonse D’Amato, Pataki’s political mentor, and developer Earle Mack.
“George is just one of these great energy people,” Petrillo said. “Here’s the governor of New York, and he’ll just sit there – he won’t answer the phone, he won’t move around, he just sits there.”
Pataki’s in heady company on Petrillo’s client list, which reportedly includes personalities like Madonna, Donna Karan, Martha Stewart, Demi Moore, Woody Harrelson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Candice Bergen, Barbra Streisand and Benjamin Netanyahu.
