‘SATURDAY Night Live” guru Lorne Michaels has inked a deal to develop a one-hour syndicated talk show.
Michaels signed up with NBC Enterprises to create and develop the daily talk show, which is slated to launch in Fall 2002.
Michaels will executive-produce the show, with Marci Klein – “SNL’s” co-producer and head of casting – handling producing duties.
“Lorne Michaels is the best at identifying talent and developing programming that fits the day part,” said Ed Wilson, President NBC Enterprises.
“Marci Klein is unsurpassed at discovering talent and securing the biggest and brightest stars. We look forward to developing a daily talk show for the early fringe time periods across the country with this proven team.”
The show will be produced by Michaels’ production company, Broadway Video, and distributed by NBC Enterprises.
