Scientists are developing a male contraceptive “pill” that could be effective for up to three years.
The “pill” is actually an implant that delivers a sperm-blocking hormone through tiny rods placed under the skin of the arm.
Thus, men will never have to fear forgetting to take it.
They will, however, have to take injections of testosterone every four to six weeks to keep up their sex drive.
The implant is being developed by the Dutch drug company Organon, which last year began testing a male pill.
