FLACK FOE REVELS IN HER RIVAL’S MISFORTUNE

Meeeeeowwww!

Lizzie Grubman’s recent bout with publicity has a catty competitor baring her claws.

When reporters and camera crews massed outside Grubman’s apartment Monday, rival publicist Lara Shriftman plopped down just across the street, apparently to revel in her competitor’s misfortune.

Shriftman tucked into dinner at the high-priced eatery Scalinatella, steps away from Grubman’s apartment on East 61st Street, sources say.

After licking her chops at Scalinatella, Shriftman, 29, sauntered across the street and stood amid the camera crews, a source told The Post.

But her joy was short-lived.

Dori Cooperman – a Grubman pal who was in the car when the Hamptons incident occurred – popped out of Grubman’s building and bumped into Shriftman, the source said.

Cooperman, a former Grubman employee, glared at Shriftman, who looked startled – and Shriftman quickly scurried away, the source said.

Last week in the Hamptons, Shriftman and her minions reportedly crowed, “We are the kings of the world,” within hours after Grubman crashed her SUV into 16 people at Southampton’s trendy Conscience Point. Shriftman declined comment.

Grubman is also taking a beating on Style.com’s forums, but unless you’re quick, you’ll never read the snide postings.

The Condé Nast Web site has censored Grubman-related postings to the “Gossip” section almost as quick as they’ve been uploaded.

One Grubman-hater wrote, “Lizzie Grubman took SUV, went out on a killing spree, and after she broke lots of bones, she had her friends take her home.”

Style.com managing director Goli Sheikoleslami said, “We do monitor the forums to make sure the quality of the postings [is] appropriate.”
