An insurance employee used the Catholic Church to scam $1.2 million out of her own company, federal officials said yesterday.
Fridda Corletto, a customer-service rep at Chubb, allegedly used more than a dozen friends to pilfer money from the insurance giant.
She was charged in Manhattan federal court yesterday with creating fictitious insurance claims for an expired policy Chubb had issued to the Archdiocese of New York.
