Horny young men, rampant boozers and nudists who let it all hang out have earned a New Jersey beach an award for being one of the most dangerous national parks in the United States.
Maxim magazine says a visit to Gateway East in Sandy Hook can turn into a “getaway of disaster” because of the outlandish behavior that’s allowed there.
And the beach could also unwittingly be the target of a terrorist attack, the mag’s November issue says.
“Attracting 2.5 million visitors a year, it’s the only public beach in New Jersey that allows booze and nudity,” Maxim says.
“As if drunk, naked guidos weren’t bad enough, nearby shipping lanes, aircraft approach routes and research labs are considered terrorist targets.”
Maxim also recommends that if you go to Gateway East, you may want to put blinders on the kids to avoid any embarrassing sights.
Despite the warnings, the clothing-optional beach, the largest along the Atlantic Coast, is a favorite with New Yorkers who like to go naked in public.
Also on the Maxim list is another favorite of New York-area tourists, the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia, which has been a hotbed of criminal activity over the years.
“Come for the murderers and the bear poachers – the antiquated radio system . . . makes finding help an adventure,” Maxim says.
The Padre Island National Seashore in Texas also ranks as an atrocious attraction for the sleazy behavior of boozed-up, spring break college students, many who’ve been chronicled on the “Girls Gone Wild” videos.
