And neighbors in the Dania Beach community say they have no problem with Robert Merkel’s well-trained, 900-pound female cat, Rajah.
“I get a thrill hearing her roar in the morning. Sometimes I feel like I’m in a zoo,” one resident said.

Boston cops raided an abandoned school bus where high-school students paid $3 a pop to lose their virginity to drug-addicted hookers.
The “Mattapan Ice Breaker” – which sits on a rat-infested old lot – had been converted into a haven for sex, drug use and stripping cars, cops said.
Area residents said the fresh-faced teens always looked out of place in the area, as if they had been headed for a McDonald’s and got lost.

A school in Bhopal is training young women to become perfect daughters-in-law.
“We impart value-based education to young women so that they may present an ideal picture of a true daughter-in-law who can take care of the families which they marry into,” said “chief trainer” Ayaldas Hemnani.
So far, more than 4,000 women have completed the three-month course at the Manju Sanskar Center.

Superstitious grooms in Serbia are using broom- sticks to discover whether their brides are witches.
They’re taking their brides to Djundjerski Castle, where an ancient ritual is performed to “scientifically prove” whether or not a woman is a witch.
A woman is weighed, and then weighed again sitting on the broomstick. If she weighs more the second time around, she is not being supported by the broomstick and is “certainly not a witch.” Certificates are issued to nonwitches.
