One man was killed and two women were injured yesterday during a robbery attempt at a Times Square apartment, police said.
Neighbors said the apartment was being used as a brothel.
The suspect, described by cops as a black male in his late 20s, entered the seventh-floor apartment at 123 W. 44th St. around 6:30 p.m. by posing as a food deliveryman, cops said.
The robber tied up five women in the room, and used a gun to keep the lone male at bay.
But the victim struggled when the gunman tried to tie him up, said cops. In the struggle, the attacker stabbed him in the back, killing him.
During the fight, two of the women hostages escaped but were hurt.
The suspect, described as 5-foot-5 with a slim build, fled in a taxi.
The male victim, described as a white man in his 50s, was found naked and without ID – hindering an identification, sources said.
