Police hate-crimes investigators are checking possible links between the appearance of a swastika on the side of a Queens church and similar attacks on cars in Brooklyn neighborhoods.
Last night, an unidentified vandal drew a chalk swastika on the side of Manuel Lutheran Church at 149-40 11th Avenue in the Whitestone section.
The incident is being investigated by the Bias Crimes Unit. Nothing initially tied the latest swastika scrawl to Saturday’s vandalism in Midwood and the Jan. 16 attacks in Marine Park and Sheepshead Bay, but a police spokesman said the possibility of a link is being explored.
On Saturday, 10 cars in Midwood, a heavily Jewish area, were defaced with silver swastikas.
