Some students at Franklin D. Roosevelt HS in Brooklyn held a mini-protest yesterday calling for the ouster of principal Adele Vocel for being too mean – and teachers union boss Randi Weingarten slammed Vocel for running roughshod over educators.
The rally outside the Borough Park school came a day after the Post published accusations leveled by 38 current and former teachers that Vocel acted unprofessionally by denying them days off for religious observance, screaming at them in front of students, and smoking in her office.
About 30 students chanted “Vocel gives us hell! Vocel gives us hell!” during a demonstration across from the school.
Dmitry Levak, an 18-year-old senior, said Vocel’s ban on certain clothing is ridiculous.
“Should someone be treated like a Columbine killer for wearing a trench coat and combat boots?” he asked.
