IT was a scene out of The Wizard of Odd. Last week in New Zealand, a gigantic Rhodesian Ridgeback dog blew away in a tornado.
Britz the dog, and the backyard shed he was standing beside, were both lifted off the ground and swept away. The shed only made it two blocks before dropping into a neighbor’s yard, but Britz went missing. The neighborhood was scoured, but no flying dogs were spotted. Ten hours later – at 5 a.m. – Britz came walking back into the house. He would not discuss where he’d been, but was heard to repeat, “There’s no place like home . . . there’s no place like home.”
