L.I. HIT-RUN WITNESS ALSO FACING TRIAL

The star witness in the Hamptons hit-run death of a migrant worker faces trial next month for a stomping attack on a panhandler in South Carolina, The Post has learned.

Greg Kotke, 36, recently testified before the Suffolk County grand jury investigating the Nov. 21 death of farm worker Henry Yarrell, who allegedly was mowed down by Bridgehampton real-estate agent Leslie Jennemann while walking along Montauk Highway in Sagaponack.

Jennemann, 44, whom Kotke had met on the evening of the tragedy – and with whom he spent the night dancing and drinking before going home with her– was indicted on manslaughter and other charges yesterday, sources said.

She claims she left the scene of the 11:50 p.m. hit-run because she thought she had hit a deer.

Two months later, Kotke left for Charleston, S.C., where he was arrested Jan. 30 on a felony assault charge. Police said he knocked out an aggressive panhandler who had hit him. Kotke claims it “was just self-defense that got out of hand.”

Jenneman’s lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., yesterday said the Charleston arrest raises serious questions about Kotke’s credibility as a hit-run witness.
