David Miller, the top driver in North America with more than $10 million in earnings, will attempt to show why he’s a shoo-in for Driver of the Year honors as he competes in the Breeders Crown tonight at the Meadowlands.
The two Crown finalists that have benefited from Miller’s career year are No Pan Intended and Kikikatie. No Pan Intended, a three-year-old colt pacer, is the top ranked horse in the nation and the leading candidate for Horse of the Year.
“Either he’s getting stronger or they’re getting weaker, because he did it easy,” said Miller of No Pan Intended’s Crown elimination win.
The highlight of No Pan Intended’s year was becoming the 10th winner of the Pacing Triple Crown. Kikikatie, a two-year-old filly pacer, comes into this championship a perfect 14 for 14 on the season.
