MANHATTAN
* Police yesterday asked the public’s help in finding a 63-year-old man who disappeared from his Harlem home.
Kay Olajide (above), who police say has mental-health problems, was last seen around 9:30 p.m. Monday leaving his home on Riverside Drive near West 138th Street.
He was wearing a white T-shirt and black pants. Anyone with information can call the 30th Precinct at (212) 690-8811.
* A knife-wielding assailant fatally stabbed a homeless man in an argument over drugs on a Midtown street, police said yesterday.
The unidentified man in his 30s pulled a knife and stabbed his 46-year- old victim once in the chest at 11:10 p.m. on West 42nd Street near Eighth Avenue, cops said.
The victim, a Columbus, Ohio, native with a short rap sheet, was rushed to St. Vincent’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The assailant fled.
* A suspect accused of murdering a man two months ago has also been charged with stabbing and critically injuring another man in Chinatown more than three years ago, police said yesterday.
In September 2000, Lei Chen allegedly stabbed a 25-year-old man several times in the chest at Division and Forsyth streets.
It was not immediately clear what sparked that earlier violence. Police arrested Lei on Monday and charged him with assault.
This past Oct. 31, Lei was confronted at Pike and Henry streets by Zhen Ji-Li, who was trying to shake down Lei for some of the money Lei earned from his Chinatown bus company, police sources said.
In reaction, Lei allegedly pulled a switchblade, but Zhen scoffed at the threat, saying, “You’re not going to stab me.”
To that, Lei said, “Oh no?” and proceeded to stab Zhen 10 times in the chest and head, the sources said.
* A man who had sustained head injuries and numerous broken bones was found behind a Washington Heights building yesterday morning. He died hours later, and police are investigating the possibility he fell, jumped or was pushed from the building.
The unidentified man was discovered in an alley behind 426 Audubon Ave. just before 8:20 a.m. He was taken to Harlem Hospital, where he died three hours later.
According to a police source, the man had severe head injuries, a broken arm and a broken collarbone, all consistent with a fall from a significant height. (lcf)

* A 16-year-old girl was raped by a male acquaintance in a Crown Heights apartment building, authorities said yesterday.
The alleged attack took place in the building at Nostrand Avenue and Sterling Place around 4 p.m. on Nov. 24. The assailant fled.
The victim filed a police report on Monday.
* Cops were hunting for a man who allegedly escaped police custody in Crown Heights last night.
Junior McLemmon, 41, was being transported in a police van when he escaped at the corner of St. Marks and Schenectady avenues after being arrested on drug-possession charges, police said.
McLemmon – allegedly the 26th person to escape from police custody this year – is described as a black man, 5-foot-9 and 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, red shirt and black pants.
* A detective fired a shot at a pit bull that tried to attack him as he chased a suspect, authorities said yesterday.
The 81st Precinct detective was pursuing the unidentified man through the backyard of an apartment building on Macon Street near Tompkins Avenue in Bedford Stuyvesant at 1:45 p.m. Monday.
When he encountered the vicious dog, the detective drew his gun and opened fire. He missed the dog and the suspect – who he was pursuing for undisclosed reasons – got away. (m, s)
* A 42-year-old man was slightly injured by gunfire on an East New York street, authorities said yesterday.
The man was grazed in his leg on Stanley Avenue and Hemlock Street at 10:15 p.m. Monday, when an assailant approached him, opened fire and fled. He refused medical attention. (m, s)
THE BRONX
* A 22-year-old man was stabbed and critically injured on a Soundview street, police said yesterday.
Cops were called to Watson Avenue near Noble Avenue around 10 p.m. Monday, where they discovered the man with two chest wounds.
The victim was taken to Jacobi Hospital. Police have not determined a motive in the attack.
