A 65-year-old Queens piano teacher was charged yesterday with sexually abusing three young female students while he was giving them private lessons in their Brooklyn homes.
Malcolm Brenner – a retired city public school music teacher, according to neighbors – fondled the three preteen girls and had them fondle him, law-enforcement sources said.
Two of the girls are sisters, ages 10 and 12, who took lessons from September to November in their Sheepshead Bay home, authorities said.
The third, a 10-year-old neighbor of the sisters, studied piano with Brenner from April through November.
During the private sessions, Brenner allegedly touched the girls’ genital area through their clothes, and made them touch his through his clothes, officials said.
He also touched the older girl’s breasts – both underneath and through her clothes, they said.
Police arrested Brenner after the two sisters told their mother, officials said.
Brenner pleaded not guilty yesterday at his arraignment.
Neighbors in his Forest Hills apartment building expressed shock – but at least one told The Post she was not totally surprised.
“Mal taught my granddaughter for several months,” said the neighbor, who requested anonymity. “My granddaughter said she felt very uncomfortable and we discontinued the lessons.”
