Two elderly sisters were found dead yesterday after their neighbors complained of a foul odor coming from their Queens apartment, police said.
Building management called police, who arrived at 1 p.m. at the building on 69th Avenue in the Fresh Meadows section.
When cops entered the apartment, they discovered the corpses of the women, ages 80 and 84.
Police said they did not know how long the bodies had been there and found no visible signs of trauma.
Police sources said the sisters apparently died of natural causes.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy today to determine the causes of death.
The sisters’ names were withheld pending notification of their family.
