Rocker Pete Townshend was nearly driven to suicide after he confessed to viewing Internet kiddie porn earlier this year, the Who guitarist told a London newspaper.
“If I had a gun, I would have shot myself,” Townshend told The Observer.
The music legend said that he didn’t kill himself because he knew that “it would have been f – – – ing awful because it would have confirmed what everybody thought.” Townshend’s life was turned upside down in January when he was arrested in an international child porn investigation.
He eventually confessed to using his credit card to download the sexual pictures of children – but maintained the shots were only for research.
