A fight between two students at Brooklyn’s Sheepshead Bay HS ended with the arrest of one of the teens – who punched and kicked a cop assigned to the violence-plagued school, law-enforcement sources said yesterday.
A large group of students stood watching the fight between Jerry Colon, 17 and another student, whose name was withheld, on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the basement of the school – one of 16 on the city’s list of most dangerous.
These so-called “impact schools” have gotten additional school safety officers and cops.
School safety officers separated the battling pair, who are teammates on the football team.
Then NYPD Officer Thomas Molski, who is assigned to the school, told all the students to leave.
Colon refused to go, the sources said.
The cop tried to grab Colon, but the teen started punching his arms and wrestling with him, the sources said.
Molski tried to handcuff Colon, but both tumbled to the floor, struggling. Colon began kicking the cop’s knees, sources said.
Some of the others who were still present began punching and kicking Molski on his arms and back, the sources said.
Molski finally arrested Colon, who was charged with assault, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.
