WASHINGTON – John Kerry told reporters yesterday he spoke with the father of Nicholas Berg, the contractor who was beheaded in Iraq by Islamic terrorists.
Asked about the conversation, Kerry said, “That’s private.”
Earlier, Berg’s father claimed his son “died for the sins of George Bush and Donald Rumsfeld.”
Although Nick Berg was a Bush supporter, his father, Michael Berg, is against the war and yesterday put up a sign in his yard reading, “War is not the answer.”
The Berg family held a private funeral in West Chester, Pa., yesterday.
