2 FOUND SLAIN IN BX. APT. MYSTERY

Two Bronx men were found shot to death last night in the apartment of a hospitalized woman, police said.

At around 7 p.m., a neighbor checking on the apartment of her friend pushed open the door at 755 Southern Blvd. to find a 20-year-old man collapsed in the hallway.

Not seeing the man’s head wound – he was lying with his back to the door – the woman called for an ambulance.

When EMS workers discovered the man had been shot, they called police, who found another man, 19, dead inside a bedroom.

Each had been shot once in the head.

Police were puzzling for a motive in the shootings.

There was no sign of forced entry and the apartment was not ransacked, cops said. Neither was there any evidence of drugs in the apartment.

Neither man was identified, pending notification of relatives, but neighbors streamed to the site after learning one of the victims was a popular figure in the neighborhood.

“He was cool, a good person,” said Jason Cintron, 23. “He was down-to-earth.

“It’s [messed] up when people die young.”
