In a brave but husky little voice, 8-year-old Rosalina looked toward her father’s casket yesterday and made a solemn vow “to be good” and to make him “proud.”
The dark-eyed girl stood behind a podium at Our Lady of Mercy Church in The Bronx and spoke to the hundreds seated in the pews, but really she was talking to her father, Francisco Rosa III – a Westchester court officer gunned down while moonlighting as a bouncer at a Queens topless club.
While family and friends said farewell, the NYPD said yesterday they had identified one of the men linked to the killing and were searching for him.
The 32-year-old father was killed Saturday just before 4 a.m. outside the Phenomenon club.
