A man on trial for allegedly killing a key witness to a Brooklyn murder complained to the judge yesterday that the prosecutor asked him to “kiss my ass!”
Trevis Ragsdale told his defense team what he claimed Assistant DA Kyle Reeves mouthed to him from the prosecution table. Then, defense lawyer Paul Lieberman repeated the claim to Judge L. Priscilla Hall at Brooklyn Supreme Court.
“I’m told by my client that Mr. Reeves just looked at him and said, ‘Kiss my ass,’ ” Lieberman said.
The prosecutor rose to proclaim, “I’m not telling anybody to kiss my ass, certainly not a murderer!” He then glared at the defendant.
Ragsdale has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the June 2002 shooting death of Bobby Gibson in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
