A 13-year-old boy was stabbed in the back in a Brooklyn schoolyard by two young thugs who were picked up only hours after the attack, cops said.
Jessie Hoyte, 17, and a 14-year-old accomplice – whose name was withheld due to his age – walked up to the unidentified boy as he hung out in the schoolyard at IS 68 on East 82nd Street at 12:45 p.m.
“What are you looking at?” one of the menacing attackers asked him before they started to harass him, according to a Brooklyn police source.
One of the teens then pulled out a folding pocketknife and stabbed the 13-year-old once in the back, law-enforcement sources said.
He was taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition.
As he was being taken to the hospital, the young victim was able tell school safety agents who attacked him.
The officers were familiar with the attackers, who were arrested about two hours later when an eagle-eyed school safety cop spotted them when they returned to the area.
Hoyte, of East 80th Street, and the 14-year-old were charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
