*** This man (above) is sought in the slaying of his ex-girlfriend and the attempted murder of another woman who roomed with her in their Mount Hope apartment.
Jessie Kennedy, 41, is suspected in the Thursday evening gunshot death of Annette Burgess, 41, inside her apartment at 1715 Walton Ave., police said.
Kennedy, who was upset over the breakup five months ago of his 20-year-long relationship with Burgess, then allegedly turned his wrath upon Burgess’ friend and roommate, Ariona Delone, 19, who was grazed in the left leg and abdomen.
Delone fled and hid in the apartment’s bathroom, locking the door behind her. Her 4-month-old son was present in the apartment, but unhurt.
The wounded woman emerged some 14 hours later – after Kennedy allegedly left the apartment scene – and after calling cops.
STATEN ISLAND
*** Cops checking a burglary report in Mariners Harbor ended up arresting three men on felony drug-possession charges and seizing about 150 pounds of pot, police said.
At 10:30 p.m. Friday, police responding to a 911 call of a burglary at the rear of 125 Lake Ave. spotted three suspicious men in the rear of the building. The men weren’t burglars – but police said they were involved in a drug deal.
It was not immediately clear who was buying or selling the cache of pot.
The suspects include two Staten Islanders – Victor Buonsante, 41, of Sheldon Avenue, and Larry Demonte, also 41, of Watkins Avenue – and David Greenstein, 26, of South Plainfield, N.J.
*** A 21-year-old man was shot and critically wounded in Arlington early yesterday, police said.
The incident unfolded at 12:35 a.m. when Louis Holback was shot multiple times by a gunman in front of 361 Grandview Ave. for reasons that remain unclear.
Holback was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital.
BROOKLYN
*** A bystander was wounded early yesterday in Flatbush when an off-duty cop and a criminal suspect traded gunshots, police said.
The shooting erupted around 3:15 a.m. after a nightclub at 1925 Flatbush Ave. closed. A club employee saw several men in a skirmish and heard at least six gunshots.
An off-duty cop nearby confronted the suspect near Avenue L and ordered the suspect to stop.
But instead of stopping, the suspect turned on the cop and fired, causing the officer to shoot back.
The suspect fled in an unknown direction and is being sought.
Police said the wounded man, 30, was standing in the vicinity and was hit by one of the gunshots. It was unclear if the shot came from the officer or the suspect.
The wounded man was treated at Kings County Hospital and released.
*** A 19-year-old man died of bullet wounds after a confrontation with a gunman in Bedford-Stuyvesant, and police are searching for his killer or killers.
Davars Hockaday of Fulton Street was shot once in the chest while standing at the corner of Herkimer Street and Marconi Place at 3:25 p.m. Friday.
Hockaday was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital, where he died of his wounds approximately an hour later.
Police did not have a description of any suspects, and it was not clear why the victim was shot.
*** Detectives were hunting yesterday for a gunman who shot and critically wounded a 21-year-old man in East New York.
Shortly after 11 p.m. Friday, Dante Thompson was standing at the intersection of Sheffield and Livonia avenues when he was shot in the head after being confronted by one or more suspects for no apparent reason, police said.
