Talk about blazing saddles.
A small hay fire broke out in a stable at the Aqueduct Racetrack in Ozone Park yesterday and a tractor-trailer caught fire outside the gates of Belmont Park this morning, officials said.
The small blaze at the Big A started in a stable storage area near the track’s backstretch at 8:35 p.m. It was put out within a half-hour.
The Belmont blaze occurred around 1:30 a.m. in a tractor-trailer on Plainfield Avenue near the track’s Gate 8, officials said. The fire was unrelated to the racetrack. No people or animals were injured in either fire.
