IN the end it was a really angry bridal salon owner who left Andy Litinsky, the former U.S. National Debating champ speechless – and fired by Donald Trump.
Litinsky, 23, a recent Harvard graduate, was Trump’s latest boardroom casualty on last night’s edition of “The Apprentice 2.”
He was clobbered at the last moment in a war of words by his teammate Sandy Ferreira, 28, who at one time was once the youngest bridal store owner in the country.
Ferreira, who moments from being fired herself, erupted on Litinsky in a verbal fury when a boardroom argument between her and Svengali-like Jennifer Massey revealed that Litinsky and Massey had been plotting to get her axed.
Massey, a beautiful and brainy blonde, had come under fire by Trump and adviser Carolyn Kepcher for escaping the ax several times before by holding a mythological Greek Siren-like influence over her various project managers throughout the game.
“Andy, you’re being pounded on, you’re being outdebated,” said Trump, slamming his fist on the table like a judge calling for order and visibly impressed by Ferreira’s fiery tirade.
“I don’t want someone running one of my companies that’s going to get beaten up so badly,” he said. “You’re fired!” Satisfied, Ferreira and Massey got up and left the room without a word, while Litinsky remained at the boardroom table, stunned.
But once they got to the lobby, the women began bickering sharply and could be heard clawing at each other until the moment they entered the elevator and the doors slammed shut.
The team had failed in a challenge to design a new bottle for a flavor of Pepsi soda, creating a silly-looking container that resembled a bizarre barbell painted like a globe.
The winning team was whisked up to the Pocanos in Trump’s helicopter and got to drive new Lamborghinis on a NASCAR track.
