A masked robber beat his victim – then drove him to the hospital when he realized the injured man was a friend.
“You were supposed to get knocked out and I was going to take your wallet and truck,” the robber told Hollis Studdard of Memphis, Tenn. The thug split after dropping off his pal, and cops were still looking for him.

A jobless Bosnian man who couldn’t afford to pay for kidney-stone surgery performed the operation on himself.
Emir Javoras, 29, used a razor blade and needle.
“The stones . . . had got stuck in my urinary tract,” he said. “I cut the skin and, with the help of a sterilized needle, I managed to dig out three stones.”
Doctors in Zenica were so shocked, they cleaned and restitched the wound for free.
