An Upper East Side plastic surgeon, whose clients include Playboy centerfolds, is on trial for allegedly botching the boobs of a Wisconsin woman – by inserting giant silicone implants instead of smaller saline ones.
Debra Prusinski said as a result of the alleged malpractice by Dr. Brad Jacobs, she suffered infections in both breasts and severe damage to both nipples as well as scarring, according to her negligence suit.
Prusinski said she wanted her silicone implants replaced with saline implants, which she considered safer.
But instead, Jacobs replaced her implants with new silicone boobs that were a whopping 60 percent bigger – from 50 centimeters to 80 centimeters – said the complaint filed in Manhattan federal court.
Prusinski’s breast sizes went from double D to off the charts. Her breasts were so big that it caused the tissue to separate, the complaint said.
“Plaintiff, Debra Prusinski, was unaware of receiving silicone until a much later date [after the operation],” the complaint filed by lawyer Michael London said.
Prusinski said the silicone implants used by Jacobs were “defective, unsafe, and . . . dangerous.”
Prusinski, from Muskego, Wis., found Jacobs through the Internet. Jacobs, who took the stand yesterday, defended his actions in testimony and during a later interview with The Post.
The doctor admitted to having at least 20 legal complaints filed against him, but said this was only the second case that has gone to trial. He said in the last case, the verdict against him was for less than six figures.
