Unbeaten heavyweight Samuel Peter (24-0, 21 KOs) may want to think about putting a muzzle on his manager Dino Duva.
At yesterday’s press conference for the upcoming “Boardwalk Brawls” card Saturday in Atlantic City, Duva predicted that not only will his protégé defeat former heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (44-3, 40 KOs) in their bout, but that his brother, Vitali, would be next if he gets by Hasim Rahman on Nov. 12.
“We’re hoping Vitali beats Rahman, so [Peter] can get rid of both brothers in one year,” Duva said.
Ah, looking past a fight and angering a pair of brothers. That’s what makes boxing a beautiful thing.
The undercard, which may not include as much venom, will be certainly be equally entertaining. The bout pits No. 1 lightweight contender Ricardo Torres (28-0, 26KOs) against unbeaten WBO Super Lightweight champion and Puerto Rican sensation Miguel Cotto, (24-0, 20 KOs).
