A Queens bus driver helped cops nab a serial robber who had been terrorizing Flushing residents for nearly three months, law-enforcement officials said yesterday.
Darrel Cordes, 39, was arrested Sunday – just 15 minutes after he allegedly robbed a woman at knife point at the intersection of Kissena Boulevard and Cherry Avenue at 2 p.m.
Cordes, who has been connected to 14 robberies, was caught after he hopped on a city bus and the driver noticed him allegedly rifling through a purse.
The unidentified driver radioed his dispatcher, who called police.
