Who’s a big boy now?
Baby Jordan – who at 8 days old underwent a miracle heart transplant after doctors found a tumor in his tiny ticker – celebrated his first birthday yesterday with the men and women who helped to save his life.
The vivacious toddler wandered around the luncheon area of Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital at New York-Presbyterian with doting parents Jeff and Sadaf Trimarchi.
“It’s terrific,” Jeff said as he watched Jordan play.
“I celebrate him every day but these milestones are really special.”
The tot’s story stirred the city’s emotions last year when he was born Jan. 8, 2005, with an almond-sized tumor infiltrating his ventricle wall, spurring his parents to make a plea for a new heart.
Within days their prayers were answered when the mom of a tragic tot shaken to death by her father donated her daughter’s heart.
