Tyra’s ‘Sister’ act
Tyra Banks officially launches her new initiative, “The Sisterhood,” on today’s “Tyra” (5 p.m./Ch. 9), explaining that she wants to help other women stop from committing “The Seven Deadly Sins of Sisterhood,” including betrayal, manipulation, judgment, gossip and resentment.
Says Tyra of her reconciliation with former archenemy Naomi Campbell, visà- vis the new initiative: “We don’t hang out, we don’t talk on the phone . . . But now there’s a respect . . . And that was enough healing for me.”

It pays to keep in people’s good graces, especially in Hollywood. Take “Out of Practice” script supervisor Gabrielle James, who started in the biz as Garry Marshall’s secretary back in his “Happy Days” era. She’s met a lot of people through the years, includingKelsey Grammer, when she worked as a script supervisor on “Frasier.” Well, Grammer asked Gabrielle to come out of retirement to work on CBS’ “Out of Practice” when he directed the pilot – and she’s continued to work on the sitcom ever since. And tonight’s “Ghost Whisperer” on CBS marks Anne Archer’s first appearance as Melinda’s (Jennifer Love Hewitt) mother- and features Abigail Breslin, who’s generated buzz at the Sundance Film Festival for her work in “Little Miss Sunshine.”
Last, but not least:
* Safety specials tomorrow: “Reporters Beat: Fire Safety” (7 p.m./Ch. 4) hosted by Carol Anne Riddell. “Operation 7: Save a Life” (7:30/Ch. 7), hosted by Bill Ritter.
* Former president Jimmy Carter, 81, tells “CBS Sunday Morning” (9 a.m./Ch. 2) that he and wife Roslyn “resolved many years ago not to ever end a day without being reconciled” with a kiss.
* Yesterday’s “Ellen DeGeneres,” pre-empted by President Bush’s speech, reairs today (10 a.m./Ch. 4).
* Breakfast Club: Ch. 2’s Marcia Kramer emcees today’s Audubon Partnership for Economic Development breakfast. And The Palm (W. 50th) delivers David Lee Roth’s breakfast each day to his 92.3 FM studio.

* “Bones,” the forensic drama starring David Boreanaz, didn’t draw well in its cushy spot after “Idol” this week. In fact, the late-lamented “Simple Life” with Paris Hilton, right, did about 25 percent better in the same spot last year. True story.
* “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star Jeff Garlin is working on a half-hour comedy for TBS modeled on the old Jack Benny variety show, where the host played himself. It’s the first heavy hint “Curb” and Larry David may not be coming back to HBO.
