An accused Queens sex fiend is on the lam and a local lawmaker is saying “I told you so” to a judge he believes set “an amazingly low bail” for the alleged degenerate.
Peter Belegrinos, 23, of Astoria, skipped out on $50,000 bail this week, forcing cops to scour the city for a man they say dragged a 9-year-old girl out of Astoria Park to beat and sexually assault her in broad daylight last August.
“This man was set free from an amazingly low bail,” said City Councilman Peter Vallone Jr.
Court spokesman David Bookstaver said, “The judge set the bail based on the statutory elements that must be considered.”
