BROOKLYN

* A Bushwick man was arrested after he fatally stabbed one man and slashed another during an argument over a card game, police said yesterday.

Victor Nuñez, 38, was playing cards with Osiris Sanchez, 30, and several other people in a barbershop on Halsey Street near Knickerbocker Avenue at about 12:45 p.m. Friday, when Nuñez accused Sanchez of cheating, cops said.

The two started to fight, and Nuñez allegedly stabbed Sanchez once in the chest.

He then slashed a 31-year-old man in the right arm, police said.

The victims were rushed to Wyckoff Hospital, where Sanchez died and the other victim was released after treatment.

Nuñez was charged with murder and assault.

THE BRONX

* A suspect has been arrested in the fatal shooting of a young man during an argument on a Morrisania street last month, police sources said yesterday.

Elah Wells, 20, was charged with murder and weapons possession Saturday in the death of a 22-year-old man at Prospect Avenue and Freeman Street at about 2:50 p.m. Jan. 22, the sources said.

During the attack, Wells allegedly brandished a gun and shot the man in the back.

The victim, whose name was not available, was rushed to an area hospital, where he died.

MANHATTAN

* A man was found butchered and bound with duct tape inside a Samsonite suitcase early yesterday on a Marble Hill street, police sources said.

The incident unfolded at West 225th Street and Broadway at about 7:30 a.m., when two men drove up, dragged the suitcase out of their car and left it near a Dumpster.

A pedestrian who had walked past the Dumpster did not initially see the suitcase, but when he came back a half-hour later, he noticed it, became suspicious and called 911.

When cops arrived, they opened the suitcase and found a dead man with about six stab wounds, police said.

Cops described the victim as Hispanic and between 30 and 40 years old.

Police were reviewing surveillance video from a Target store across the street in an effort to identify the killers.

* A young man was fighting for his life after being stabbed at a Harlem nightclub, police sources said yesterday.

The 24-year-old man, whose name was not released, was knifed in the neck as he was leaving the club at Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard and West 128th Street at about 2:40 a.m. Saturday, cops said.

The wounded man was rushed to Harlem Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

Police said he was being uncooperative.

* An elderly man died of an apparent heart attack after he fell unconscious in his Lower East Side home, authorities said yesterday.

Antonia Guzman, 78, was discovered unconscious in his Cherry Street residence near Rutgers Street after police responded to a call at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday, cops said.

Guzman was rushed to New York Downtown Hospital, where he died.

Police sources said they believe Guzman died after going into cardiac arrest, but were awaiting the results of an autopsy.

QUEENS

* A teenager was shot dEad on a Hollis street, police said yesterday.

The 19-year-old victim was walking with his girlfriend at 198th Street and Jamaica Avenue at about 8:16 p.m. Saturday, when the gunfire erupted, cops said.

The youth, whose name was not released, collapsed and was rushed to Mary Immaculate Hospital, where he died.
