The father of child-abuse victim Nixzmary Brown’s eldest sibling is set to sue the city for millions for “gross negligence,” but some family members say the absentee dad is just looking for a payday.
Carlos Batista wants custody of Javier, 9, his son with Nixzmary’s mother, Nixzaliz Santiago.
His lawyer, Steve Gildin, also notified the Administration for Children’s Services of plans to sue.
“This is just an opportunity for [Batista],” said a family friend. “We feel that he never had nothing to do with his son.”
