Daytime viewers who tune to Channel 4 next month are in for a surprise – they’ll be able to watch local programs produced by the city’s own TV station.
The deal, announced yesterday by Mayor Bloomberg at NBC’s Rockefeller Center headquarters, will put 113 episodes of five NYC-TV programs on Channel 4 from 11 a.m. to noon, from Sept. 4 through mid-December.
Officials said the city would get four minutes of ad time each day for public-service commercials.
The shows being aired are: “$9.99,” “Blueprint NYC,” “Cool in Your Code,” “Eat Out NY,” and “New York 360 Degrees.”
