A note-passing bandit who robbed nine banks in Midtown and the Upper East Side was nabbed yesterday by cops staking out No. 10, sources said.
All the banks he’d robbed since April were Wachovia branches. When he walked into the branch at 55th Street and Fifth Avenue, he was greeted by detectives from the Major Case Squad. They chose that bank because it was one of the few area Wachovia branches he hadn’t hit.
