The murder trial of a Bronx teen accused of gunning down a high-school football star ended yesterday in a hung jury.
Several jurors said there wasn’t enough evidence to convict Quindel Francis, 18, of killing Fernando Corea, 16, captain of the Alfred E. Smith HS football team on Feb. 11, 2005.
Prosecutors, who said Corea was shot while standing up for a friend being picked on by gang-member wannabes from the Throgs Neck Houses, are expected to retry the case.
