Queens Assemblyman and labor leader Brian McLaughlin will be indicted on corruption charges today, it was reported last night.
The powerful Democrat – who resigned from his position as president of the Central Labor Council amid allegations of bid rigging – will surrender today at Manhattan federal court, according to WNBC/Channel 4.
The specific charges were not revealed.
The FBI raided the union’s offices in March.
The feds have been investigating claims McLaughlin helped steer lucrative streetlight contracts with the city Transportation Department to favored firms.
There have also been questions about McLaughlin’s campaign spending.
