When Wolf Blitzer and “The Situation Room” disputed Michael Mooreâs “Sicko” facts before an interview with the filmmaker, they probably knew they were just egging him on. But it turned into a full-blown knockdown when Moore called out CNN:
Blitzer: Do you want to respond to any of what was just featured in this report.
Moore: I don’t talk in sound bites, so … That report was so biased, I can’t imagine what pharmaceutical company ad’s coming up after our break here. [It was Cialis.] Why don’t you tell the truth to the American people, I mean, I wish that CNN and the other mainstream media would just for once tell the truth about what is going in this country.
And then Moore got mean. From accusing CNN of âfudging the factsâ on his 2004 flick, âFahrenheit 9/11,â to challenging medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Guptaâs journalistic abilities, Moore demanded an apology from Blitzer for himself and the American people. Blitzer responded by saying that he this was a TV show, so he didnât have to apologize, he just had to interview him. Whatta comeback, Wolf!
