Lindsay Lohan’s attorney said she was able to keep hourly tabs on the arm-bending actress thanks to a booze-monitoring bracelet on her ankle – but that didn’t stop the wild child from allegedly driving fully loaded early yesterday morning.
Lawyer Blair Berk yesterday said she learned of Lohan’s repeated shenanigans hours before the “Mean Girl” was busted for DUI in Santa Monica, Calif.
“Unfortunately, late yesterday [Monday], I was informed that Lindsay had relapsed,” Blair said in a prepared statement. “The bracelet has now been removed.”
But it was unclear whether Berk learned that her client was hitting the sauce again from the monitoring company or if Lohan told her.
Makers of the Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor – or SCRAM – bracelet declined to reveal whether their monitor sounded an alarm over Lohan.
The company said it was possible for Lohan to remove the bracelet because there’s an in-case-of-emergency mechanism on the device – but that, too, would have sounded an alarm.
Lohan was wearing the clunky bracelet when cops booked her on her latest charges of DUI and drug possession.
Before yesterday, Lohan was already facing a DUI in Beverly Hills for a Memorial Day weekend bender,
SCRAM officials also would not reveal yesterday who was on the receiving end of Lohan-boozing alerts.
But Berk hinted she was the actress’ keeper.
“She has been monitored on a SCRAM bracelet and tested daily in order to support her sobriety,” Berk said.
