A Queens woman strangled her father and sliced off his penis before being taken to a mental ward, police sources said yesterday.
Cops believe Eric Goodridge, 55, who was found bound and gagged with a towel around his neck, was already dead when his daughter, Brigitte Harris, 26, mutilated him in her Far Rockaway apartment Saturday, because there was little bleeding, the sources said.
After the murder, Harris, a heavy-set, rainbow-haired security guard at Kennedy Airport, went to the Staten Island home of a friend, who called 911 to report an emotionally disturbed person, the sources said.
An ambulance then took Harris to Bayley Seton Hospital. She was admitted to the psychiatric ward, where cops were not immediately able to interview her.
The violence occurred at about 1 p.m. Saturday in Harris’ third-floor apartment at 436 Beach 69th St., where she had lived for a year after moving from Staten Island.
The father and daughter had no history of friction. But a detective said, without elaborating, that the slaying and mutilation had “meaning and reason.”
Goodridge died of “homicidal violence,” including gagging and neck compression, a spokeswoman for the city medical examiner said.
