CRATE-throwing soap star Na thaniel Marston has finally been fired from “One Life to Live.”
The troubled actor who played Dr. Michael McBain on the popular soap was arrested last month for allegedly attacking three people and then fighting with cops who tried to arrest him in Manhattan.
He will be replaced by another actor, ABC sources said, adding that the producers didn’t want to add to the confusion that has already been caused by a writer’s strike.
“Nathaniel Marston has been a valuable member of the cast of ‘One Life to Live,’ bringing Michael McBain to life for legions of fans,” ABC said in a statement.
The 6-foot-3 former amateur boxer was allegedly on drugs when he assaulted his victims with a metal crate at 45th Street and 10th Avenue on Oct. 20. One man suffered a broken leg.
He kicked at police officers when they tried to arrest him and was eventually taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was classified as emotionally disturbed.
“He leaves the show with our sincere appreciation for his many contributions and our support as he addresses personal challenges,” ABC officials said. “We wish him well.”
Co-workers have described Marston as “short-tempered” and say he has been arrested more than once for fighting.
