FIREBRAND cable-news host Nancy Grace was much improved yesterday, but still in an Atlanta hospital following an emergency breathing failure over the weekend, her husband, David Linch, said yesterday.
“She is breathing effortlessly now,” Linch told People magazine. “The swelling around her legs and feet have pretty much gone away.”
Her improved condition is due to unspecified medication that “has had a dramatic impact,” Linch said.
Grace, 49 – who hosts a nightly talk show on CNN Headline News – had been in the hospital from Nov. 4, the day she gave birth to premature twins, until last Thursday, when she was released, the magazine reported.
Her breathing ailment – identified as pulmonary edema – stemmed from her pregnancy, People said.
Her husband rushed her to the hospital on Sunday when she experienced shortness of breath.
Their twins – John David and Lucy Elizabeth – have been in the hospital ever since they were born two months premature.
Linch told People the babies are doing better also. “John David has gone from being fed via a tube to primarily being fed by a bottle and today is the first day they’re going to try to give Lucy Elizabeth a bottle,” he said. “Her weight is going up, and she’s doing quite well.”
